Parametric dynamic shading for high rise

Algorithmic shading design has become a popular choice among international architectural firms which base their designs heavily on the use of parametric design tools. I have been working in that field for almost a decade now, and I have seen the benefits of their usage. The patterns used for shading can be controlled by the amount of incident radiation. The example below displays and kinetic façade structure that tracks the sun, and deploys sails based on the incidence of the sun.

Because from the earth's surface we perceive the sun as a dynamic body, it’s more logical that a façade could adapt to its movement to shade the interiors more efficiently. This will help on reducing solar exposure only in those areas that would require it the most therefore reducing the need for Air Conditioning when outdoor temperatures are high
